I understand that Agua Dulce Fair Parade organizers did not plan a 2021 parade due to questionable concerns about a SARS disease.
I propose to park my work vehicle decorated as a parade entry along the usual parade route on Agua Dulce Canyon Road on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from about 4pm to about 5pm and wave to passerby and offer folks parade candy out of a bucket. I propose to parade in place.
The behaviour of folks in Acton on July 4 2020 inspired this proposal. Independence Day Parade organizers canceled the parade, and some folks got together and had a parade in place near the Acton Park on July 4. So far as I know, these folks did not ask permission; they just announced that they were gonna parade in place and asked other folks to participate or to observe.
I am announcing an intention to parade in place. I am asking that if you want to parade in place, please don’t impede traffic or park in business parking spaces. Please park along Agua Dulce Canyon Road from Escondido Canyon Road to Darling Road. Please decorate your vehicle parade style, smile a lot, wave to passerby, and have a good time from about 4 pm to about 5 pm. At the end of the parade in place, please leave.
